History ;
25/7/05; 32.4kg . Seen for check over and vaccination, new acquisition. Advised to have elbows and hips x-rayed, as lame right fore, and bad H/D score from dam (36/37). Advised reduce to 28kg.
1/8/05; 30.6kg. Sedated for radiography of elbow and hips (also micro chipped).
Severe degeneration of right elbow, also hip dysplsia especially right side. Refer x-rays to Noel Fitzpatric for opinion.
15/8/05 ; Further sedation for extensive radiographs of right elbow. Start Cosequin DS at 2:1.
25/8/05 ; General anaesthesia for arthrotomy of right elbow; medial approach, FCP (fragmented coronoid process) removed, cartilage erosion of weight bearing surface of medial condyle of humerus.; lateral approach, UAP (ununited anconeal process) removed.
26/8/05 ; Toe touching already.
27/8/05 ; Home.
2/9/05 ; ½ sutures removed, amazing recovery.
7/9/05 ; remaining sutures removed.

Slight medial rotation of right foot, and turning out of elbow, slight lameness, and still drastic muscle wastage over triceps in comparison to left fore leg, discussion with veterinary surgeon, advised postpone surgery on left elbow until right is stronger . |

26/10/05 ; General anaesthesia for arthrotomy of left elbow, medial approach ; cartialge erosion of medial condyle weight bearing surface, OCD on vertical aspect, also medial humerus adhesion, probable cartilage remnant removed.
27/10/05 ; Weight bearing approx 50%! Home.
